It is surprising the amount of people that is being treated for anxiety problems and we don't have to look far to find it, in our university is pretty common. What strikes me the most is how baddly it is attacked, "Just give them some medication" is what most doctors think.
Is really easy to notice anxiety and depression behavior but somehow we are afraid to do something. Talking can be such a great help for those with the problem so I encourage everybody to be aware and help those around you, don't forget you're not alone.

Governments are in charge of providing infrastructure and services for the population, in exchange we provide them with taxes for them to perform this tasks. However lots of humans are in charge of this money which leads to lots of irresponsible spending and embezzlement.
The problem with the current fight against this situation is about making those responsible pay for their crimes. Although itself it isn't bad, it is not a permanent solution for the problem. We must create a culture on which we this isn't a personal dilemma when we are faced with it.

There are a lot of danger in the streets around TEC, even some kilometers away from it. This can be due to the way citizens live, they are always at home with the doors closed, which results in empty streets (perfect for attacks), which generates danger.
In order to avoid danger, attacks should be done, so that whoever walks at whatever hours wouldn't have to care about anything.

Grecia downtown is not a safe place anymore. Some years ago, this town was a safe place to live in. Nowadays, it has become really dangerous even on daylight. There has been a lot of problems of burglary, drugs, assassinations...So, if you're visiting that place, be careful.

Discrimination against gay people is a big problem of our society. Nowadays, there are a lot of movements in favor of gay people rights, but even with them the discrimination keeps going on. A lot of gay people tend to hide their reality only to fit into the society, this take their freedom away and is wrong in so many ways.
It is time to accept that every person in the world is different from other. It is necessary start to respect those differences and join to the movement in favor of gay people rights. At least, if you do not want to join, try to keep away and let other people live with their own freedom.

We are not producing knowledge as we can do it in Costa Rica. Nowdays the university students try to get a better education but they have to deal with a lot of problems to get it. Many of them choose to go to an other country to finish their studies, but the problem is that they stay in these countries and not help in the development of Costa Rica.
It's good to want to overcome, but also it's necessary to remember that our country need us and if we can ,we must been producing knowledge to enrich Costa Rica, and not only for other countries.

the work of the local government is important for the community, but also it is important the behavior of the people and how this people involved in the different problems.
Also it is fundamental the culture of the people, especially in the environmental problems, there could be a lots of laws and politics to attack every problemn in the community, but nothing is gained if the community does not get involved.
